Identity
The easiest and the hardest thing to design is a logo.
Anyone can create one, but if it is not embedded with some deeper meaning or reference, it will not be memorable. It is the process of distilling – taking the aspirations and ideas of a company and reducing them down into one visual motto. Finding originality within very strict parameters is the key.

A conference held in Vietnam needed staff to focus on their current strengths. Based upon a stylised lotus leaf (the national flower of Vietnam) this logo again calls upon culture and history to convey the idea of unrealised inner beauty blossoming outwards. |

Japan’s largest film and distribution company required an animated logo to precede film screening. This project uses the interplay of light to slowly reveal the companies logo. In high definition this project really shines! Multiple layers in Illustrator and clever masks assested by light rays was a challenge. |

Illy Coffee sponsored a winter film festival in new York. Working remotely we created this 3D cup for them. The formation of the ‘e’ in espresso combined with filmic elements makes this an emotive piece, of which I am especially proud. |

Once upon a time, ‘print’ meant the written word, trapped safely inside a book. Now, words have escaped, we see them everywhere, but rarely without pictures.
The printed word and the visual image have become inextricably linked, but whereas some offerings stay with us, or lead us to read on, others are out of our hand or mind in moments. The ability to combine words and images so that the result on paper is perfectly pitched to appeal to the intended recipient is the mark of a good print designer. Whether it is an invitation or an annual report, it must delight and arrest the reader.
I have created all forms of print material, including event invitations, branding development for stationary, annual reports, press advertisements, newsletter design and template, miscellaneous collateral and direct marketing.

Web
In the rush to get onto the web, many companies have encountered unforseen problems creating the website that is right for them. My experience in this medium has taught me much about avoiding the pitfalls.
I always set out to create a site which not only looks good, but which will add lasting value to the business by functioning as a fast and reliable source of interest and information to your clients. Companies that are sceptical about the value of the web simply haven’t got the right web site yet. A web site must be functional first and foremost – easy to navigate, and easy to update.

This successful travel and conference booking agency requested a ‘non-template’ site that featured Australian imagery. The tabbed navigation, which imitates the style of a travel diary, created an innovative navigation system. This site also features an animated Flash map of locations around Australia. |
